I’ve been behind the lens for over twenty five years, and finally made the switch from hobby to career about six years ago. It’s been a journey turning a lifelong love into an occupation, and I’m excited that it’s led me to so many wonderful experiences so far.
I’m raising a couple of kids and just doing my best to help them bring more good and happiness into the world every day.
I’m not a great gardener, but I really like trying to grow things. I love beer, especially sour beers and stouts. My educational background is in interior design, but somehow I can’t ever quite get my house finished. I worked at a flower shop as a kid and still enjoy floral design as a hobby. I like sewing, knitting, trivia, and rock and roll music. I never have as much time to read as I wish I did, but I like Vonnegut, Murakami, Clarke, Gaiman, and Bukowski. I am a terrible dancer, but I love to get on the dance floor. I have a really hard time sitting still.
I live and work in San Diego, but I love to travel and am certainly up for discussing work in other destinations.
I believe that all love is valid and profound, and I think every single person in the whole wide world is beautiful, including you.
The most amazing thing about my job is that it connects me to people at a turning point in their lives; at a point when you’re evaluating the things in your life that are most important to you, who you are now, and where you’re going together.
Preserving not just the details of your day, but also the nature of your relationship as you choose your future together, is important to me. The images we create together are the proof you’ll have to show your children, the new friends you meet, your elderly selves, exactly how beatiful, how strong, how happy you were on the day you married your best friend.
