A Detroit native, Ms. Calebria Webb has enthralled and enchanted audiences with her dramatic flair, sensational acting, and golden voice. An alumna of Wayne State University, Ms. Webb studies with Frances Brockington and is an emerging artist with a presence in the Metro Detroit area. One of her recent engagements, Ms. Webb debuted with the Bloomington Opera Workshop’s performance of Die Zauberflöte as the Dritte Dame. Ms. Webb also debuted with Toledo Opera as a comprimario soloist in I Dream, an opera fusing together many musical elements and tells the story of the last thirty-six hours of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life. Prior to I Dream, Ms. Webb performed in Detroit-based Opera Modo’s production of Maurice Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, performed in English. Ms. Webb’s operatic roles include Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Mrs. Nolan in The Medium, the Announcer in Gallantry, Narrator in The Betrothal of Becky Brown and Catherine in Jacques Offenbach’s Pomme d’Api in Périgueux, France. Additionally, Ms. Webb performed Martin in Martin’s Lie; Romeo in I Capuleti e I Montecchi; Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief; Announcer in Gallantry; Madame Kirsten in The Beautiful Bridegroom; Miss Paige in An Embarrassing Position; and Shepherdess in Amahl and the Night Visitors. Ms. Webb maintains a private voice and piano studio in Detroit and maintains a rigorous performance and teaching schedule.
