David Cray studied classical guitar at U.N.C. School of the Arts where he acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. He is also an alumni of Berklee College of Music and attended Brevard College in N.C. He studied under the famous guitar teacher Aaron Shearer(who published 13 books with Mel Bay Publishing) as well as Gerald Klickstein(a student of the famous Andres Segovia), Larry Almeida, and Robert Calmes. He also attended master-classes by many renowned classical guitar masterssuch as: David Russell, William Kanengiser, Ricardo Cobo, Paul O’dette(lute), The Assad Brothers, Norbert Kraft, and Bruce Holdsman. David has performed in concert halls, churches, receptions, weddings, and parties through out N.C. and the surrounding states. He also performed with the Winston-Salem Symphony at their “Pops in the Park” concerts. David is available for weddings, receptions, concerts, restaurant gigs, dinner parties and other gatherings. He is also working on three classical and fingerstyle guitar albums soon to come out.
