Getting into the makeup industry was a natural decision. I have always had a flair for the artistic. My passion really began to take hold in my teens. For as long as I can remember I would sketch out my ideas during class (much to the dismay of my instructors). My first experience with makeup was when my middle school was planning to have an 8th grade dance. I wanted to look my best and knew I had to do something with my face but I had never worn makeup. I remember going to one of the makeup counters in the mall and asking to get my face done. I felt so pampered and pretty that it gave me confidence walking into that dance. From then on, I was hooked. I began doing makeup professionally about 3 years ago. I have never had formal training. Makeup was something that came easily to me and that I perfected through trial and error. I began by doing a lot of volunteer work and working for discounted rates to expand my portfolio. Some of the volunteer events I’ve done include Kansas City Fashion Week, West 18th Street Fashion Show, EarKandie Fashion Show, Natural Hair Expo, and various photo shoots for locally celebrated designers in the Kansas City area. In 2015 I fulfilled one of my dreams when my work was published in the Kansas City Magazine and one of my looks featured on the cover. My services include a little bit of everything, but I truly enjoy event makeup (weddings, proms, etc.). runway makeup and theater. I love working with different people and providing them with beautiful looks. I constantly educate myself on trends and on skincare. I also regularly attend workshops to perfect my craft.
