Eric started his musical journey in California. By the age of 18 he was rockin’ in his first metal band in the mid 80’s, playing backyard parties and getting a first hand taste of performing live in front of a metal audience. This gave Eric the drive to push harder and perfect his talent by gaining the experience by performing raw shows. His first big live performance was at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA with a band called “Crazy Janis” He then started working with other projects that would take him a step up every time, gaining him more experience performing at different venues like… The Whiskey, The Roxy, The Waters Club, Dragonfly, The Gig, The Troubadour, Knitting Factory, Hollywood Palladium and many others in and around Los Angeles, California. He then joined a band band in 2007 called Syndicate 13 – writting lyrics and melodies for music the band had written. One song from the list was titled “Crushing Oceans” in which the band recorded a video and gained rave reviews.
In 2009 Eric filled the position of lead vocalist for a local band Scarred from Downey, California. Writing all lyrics, melodies and recording all vocal tracks for the EP “Haunting Memories” which was released in May of 2009. Following the realease, the EP gained national and international recognition, getting air played in countries such as Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Australia, Japan and The United States, just to name a few. The EP “Haunting Memories” received rave reviews from all over the world, Eric’s vocals brought a new sound which drastically changed the course of the bands sound and style. He played numerous shows with the band between 2009 and 2012 gaining a strong reputation. Eric also had the opportunity to share the stage with acts like Exodus, WASP, Y&T, Accept, Primal Fear, Hammerfall, UFO, Armored Saint, Michael Schenker and many others artists.
Eric is very much involved into doing charity work as well. He contacted the organizer of We Are One and offered his help by performing at benefit show. The benefit was held at The Alex Theater in Glendale, California in 2009. The concert was for those who were affected by the heavy flooding in the Philippines where thousands of people lost their lives. Eric also organized “Metal For Tots” a Toys for Tots drive in 2011 which he and fellow bands raised money and toys for children less fortunate. The event was held at The Brass Elephant in Monrovia, California.
