Activism Articulated is an integrated communications firm focused exclusively on progressive political advocacy. From supporting the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in their protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline Project to consulting for the Women’s March and helping to organize the first ever Black Women’s March in California, they believe they can help create a better world by arming activists and non-profits with the tools and support they need to navigate a complex political environment. Activism Articulated provides high-level media consulting to build and execute communications strategies and advocacy campaigns designed to change the world.
Megan Wygant, Executive Director of CLARA, described the collaboration saying, “Art — whether it’s a performance discipline like dance, music, drama, or a visual genre — is meant to be radically inclusive and accessible for all. They’ve been excited by Activism Articulated’s Justice Altars at the Crocker and their other projects and they are proud that, by bringing Activism Articulated’s insightful voice to CLARA, they are able to provide Midtown residents with a constantly changing and evolving creative base for their Second Saturday experience.” Jasper James, co-owner of Activism Articulated, is committed to supporting underrepresented communities and has worked hard to craft a full-day event that is deeply intentional in its commitment to diversity and inclusion. “It is vital that Sacramento not continue to be the divided set of neighborhoods and nightlife we see today. We are one community and this event belongs in midtown as much as any.” said James. “We are so grateful to CLARA for offering this space, and for putting people and art together with the resources needed to build a strong and vibrant hub here in Sacramento for the resilient and brilliant artists we are proud to showcase.”
