Calee Reed

Calee ReedCalee Reed Adams was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and grew up in San Diego, California. Her mother was a vocal coach, and Calee was taught to sing at a very young age. By the time Calee was a teenager, her sisters and she were performing in multi-part harmony all over Southern California – from professional athletic events to Disneyland. Calee began writing music of her own after high school – experimenting with different genres ranging from grunge rock to pop. She spent time working with producers writing and selling music to bands and TV shows, like ABC’s hit show ‘Switched at Birth’. When her mother was diagnosed with cancer, her focus turned to Christian media and worship music.Calee Reed
She penned The Waiting Place – her debut album – as a way to give back to the Christian music community and reach others who find themselves experiencing similar trials in life. The album was released by Shadow Mountain Records in May of 2012. A music video for “She Put the Music in Me” features home video and photos of Calee’s mother (available via YouTube). All proceeds from the download of that song in May were donated to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Since the release of The Waiting Place, traveled the country sharing her message of hope and faith. Calee has shared the stage with her own personal spiritual heroes (Brad Wilcox, Sheri Dew, John Bytheway, and more) as a presenter with the Time Out Calee Reedfor Women and Girls program(s) since 2013.
Calee has continues to pull inspiration from her real-life experiences into her songwriting through her divorce, recent remarriage, and blending of families. Calee’s second album, an EP titled ‘What Heaven Feels Like’, was released in July of 2015 by Shadow Mountain Records and her third full-length album, ‘Believer’ was released in early 2018. Calee and her family (including five – almost six! – beautiful kids and loving husband, Jon) live in South Weber, Utah.
